So the bank itself told him to stop paying while they fixed up his loan modification. And then they foreclosed on him for not paying after they told him not to.

Meanwhile Obama is trying to make it so banks will not be held responsible for anything that has taken place during the financial collapse, and cannot be charged under new laws and regulations.

the book has to stop somewhere, it should stop here, if not, the book will never stop. we bailed out the banks and then they have the balls to throw you out on the street? that’s neither right nor proper. here in the UK, we have what’s called a “section 6″ notice, its a right to squat an empty building, the government is taking that right away and making it illegal. you can see why, they don’t want the embarrassment of having people with rights in homes when the ballifs take the house………we need to stop this now. the saying goes “AN ENGLISHMAN’S HOME IS HIS CASTLE”, THAT APPLIES TO EVERY HUMAN ON THE PLANET TOO

The modification only last for 5 years.

The primary purpose of the program is data mining. Secondary effects are to make illegal loans legal, satisfy notice requirements, re-structure the paperwork for tax deduction, allow the Banks to cash out.

This is why you put/get everything in writing. Phone calls aren’t enough. Even if you have to deal with people over the phone, get their e-mail and/or snail mail address and send a follow-up letter (get a return receipt for snail mail) detailing your discussion. Take notes during phone calls, including date, time, name of person, each point discussed, and anything else that’s relevant. Record the conversation, if necessary, and transcribe it.
